STRIPES AND BOOTS

Another day another outfit! My sister picked out this skirt for me the other day and told me I had to buy it! It's from Topshop (surprise) and I love it!


The material is stretchy and fits so nicely. I decide to pair it with a leather jacket and my trusty Docs.

HEMIPLEGIA

I am hoping to talk a lot more about my disability in further posts, first I'm going to start with my condition - Hemiplegia. Many people are probably unaware of this and what it entails. I was born premature and almost died, I had to have open heart surgery to keep me alive. Hemiplegia is a condition that affects half of your body and is caused by parts of the brain being damaged. The most obvious effects of my condition is my foot, I limp and throughout childhood had to wear a splint and specialised footwear. I want to raise awareness of my condition, growing up was hard and I always stood out. I could never wear the latest fashions like my sister i.e flimsy footwear such as flip flops were a big no no! However, I want to show people that a disability is not a hindrance and you can still look and feel good with it! I love fashion and love dressing up - I refuse to let my disability stop this!
