WANT, NEED, LUST

Image
Tee |  Truffle Shuffle Stripy Co-Ord |  ASOS Hat |  Monki Shorts |  Topshop Pinafore |  Topshop  Clutch |  Anya Hindmarch  - I'm still dreaming! Ring |  Made  - I saw this is in the Oxford Circus Topshop Boots |  Le Chameau So its Friday tomorrow and here is my top favourite items that I WANT NEED AND ARE LUSTING after this week. We will try to keep it as affordable as possible but the odd lust piece may slip in there - yes I know I cannot afford Anya Hindmarch but a girl can dream right!? This week we are loving neutrals, a simple black pinafore and a cute tee makes for a perfect mix of smart and casual. I have been wanting a Co-Ord for agessssss, and I have found the perfect piece that will see me through the autumn and will be perfect with this cute beanie hat from Monki. Festival season is still in full swing and these pieces will be perfect for anyone planning on sloshing around in the mud! Lauren xx

BLOSSOM

Image
The dress is from COW Vintage store and is very figure hugging- the floppy hat is Topshop and I added a few flowers for a summery feel. And my orange lipstick is Mac (Morange) to add even more colour. I'm off to Edinburgh in a few days so I'm just packing- 2 weeks of shows everyday sounds like fun. Last year I went to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in a wheelchair after an operation on my foot (the operation was to force my foot in the right position). It was an interesting experience because if everyone knows Edinburgh there are a lot of cobbles involved. A wheelchair and cobbles don't match and plus I didn't enjoy the attention I got for being in a wheelchair! Lauren x

LIEBSTER AWARD

Image
Thank-you Chole for nominating me for the Liebster Award- you should check out Chloe’s style at   http://chloealicelifestyle.blogspot.co.uk because its ACE!! Now to the rules: • You must answer all questions that are given to you • Must link back to the person that nominated you • Nominate 11 bloggers who have less than 200 followers • Provide nominees with 11 questions of your choice • Cannot nominate the person who nominated you • Must inform nominees of your nomination • Provide nominees with a link to your post for more info My answers are.... 1. I don’t really follow celebrities style, instead I look to the streets - its the best way to conn

DID YOU HEAR THE RAIN?

Image
It has been super hot in England recently and now the thunderstorms have descended I thought I would make the most of it! This was just a bit of fun really, but the photos ended up coming out quite well!  My dress is from the Vintage shop COW and it has a Victorian feel to it. I had to be careful not to look like a Victorian peasant so I paired it with my pink converse. And I love the fit of this dress- flatters your figure and all that! As you can see in this photo my left foot collapses slightly- this is because I have CP (cerebral palsy). CP, in my terms is brain damage from birth, and is something that affects me on a daily basis. Please keep reading if you want to find out more- because it is a topic very close to my heart and I would like to bring more awareness. Hope you're having a good weekend and maybe there is some sun near you! Lauren xx P.S here is a link to my Flying High Facebook page for Edinburgh -> http

SUNSET

Image
This photo happened yesterday when the sun was setting- a good opportunity for a quick snap. This dress is from Wild Couture Clothing. I bought it for my 6th form prom; as you can see I paired it with my orange converse (and yes I am wearing odd socks- but what can I say!) My hair looks like a pineapple on top of my head- but I think the messy do works with the elegant dress. For prom I paired this dress with my Sandal Docs that you can see in my last post- I didn't wear heels for my prom (or rather CAN'T!) - so I chose some statement flats!! Over the weekend I will be enjoying the weather as its never been so HOT in England. I love to read your comments- and what you think of my style- so please keep commenting. Also, you can see my looks on Lookbook so please hype! Lauren xx

EYE OF THE TIGER

Image
I love this kimono - a family member made this for me from a vintage scarf. This eyes kinda freak me out a little - but I think it so cool!! What can I say I don't think I've posted a look yet without a hint of Topshop - so this skirt is from Topshop. Its lace and I bought it in the Halloween season. My shoes are from Doc Martens - classic me but they're SANDALS (you see I'm not THAT predictable??).   Kimono, Hand-made. Skirt, Topshop. Top, F+F Tesco. Sandals, Doc Martens. My bag is from Germany and rings are from Topshop.  Lauren xx

LOVE

Image
Hi, its raining here in England (surprise surprise) so I thought I post an outfit from the other day. I am wearing F&F floral trousers which I paired with my Red Docs. Its not very clear in this photo but I'm wearing a starfish ring and it is from Daisy Rings.  In this photo I love the ivy growing up the side of the house. Both my LOVE top and hat are from Topshop + the bag too. The craze of the loom bands has finally got me.... (Can I just say I made this one myself and it took me FOREVER). The friendship bracket was made by my sister- she decided to make them as they are  over-priced in the shops! All the photography on this blog are by Cassie Place.

FLORALS AND BLACK

Image
Today I'm soooo tired after an eight hour rehearsal for my ed fringe show which is getting closer and closer!! I thought I post this because I love this jacket- which is from Topshop. These are my flat-forms which are from River Island. I wear these on very special occasions when I don't have to walk far- because they start hurting if I wear them all day.  I'm wearing my black jumpsuit from Topshop. Its so comfy and can be worn with literally anything.

ROUGE

Image
I'm starting my rehearsals tomorrow for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and I'm very excited. This is a quick snap from last night where we were celebrating my mum's 60th! The dress is from COW Vintage Store (one of my favourite shops). I decided to pair the dress with my creepers which I use to wear with everything!  I also came across my fish net tights which I think compliment the whole outfit.  I couldn't decide whether it was hot or cold yesterday so I took my denim shirt just in case. The shirt is from Topshop which I purchased a few years ago. My fringe is also way too long and needs a cut. I love to accessorise with rings and this is my double ring that I got for my 18th birthday and its from House of Fraser.

STRIPES AND BOOTS

Another day another outfit! My sister picked out this skirt for me the other day and told me I had to buy it! It's from Topshop (surprise) and I love it! The material is stretchy and fits so nicely. I decide to pair it with a leather jacket and my trusty Docs.  Lauren x
