BLOSSOM








The dress is from COW Vintage store and is very figure hugging- the floppy hat is Topshop and I added a few flowers for a summery feel. And my orange lipstick is Mac (Morange) to add even more colour.

I'm off to Edinburgh in a few days so I'm just packing- 2 weeks of shows everyday sounds like fun. Last year I went to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in a wheelchair after an operation on my foot (the operation was to force my foot in the right position). It was an interesting experience because if everyone knows Edinburgh there are a lot of cobbles involved. A wheelchair and cobbles don't match and plus I didn't enjoy the attention I got for being in a wheelchair!

I am hoping to talk a lot more about my disability in further posts, first I'm going to start with my condition - Hemiplegia. Many people are probably unaware of this and what it entails. I was born premature and almost died, I had to have open heart surgery to keep me alive. Hemiplegia is a condition that affects half of your body and is caused by parts of the brain being damaged. The most obvious effects of my condition is my foot, I limp and throughout childhood had to wear a splint and specialised footwear. I want to raise awareness of my condition, growing up was hard and I always stood out. I could never wear the latest fashions like my sister i.e flimsy footwear such as flip flops were a big no no!
