EYE OF THE TIGER

I love this kimono - a family member made this for me from a vintage scarf. This eyes kinda freak me out a little - but I think it so cool!! What can I say I don't think I've posted a look yet without a hint of Topshop - so this skirt is from Topshop. Its lace and I bought it in the Halloween season. My shoes are from Doc Martens - classic me but they're SANDALS (you see I'm not THAT predictable??).

My bag is from Germany and rings are from Topshop.

I am hoping to talk a lot more about my disability in further posts, first I'm going to start with my condition - Hemiplegia. Many people are probably unaware of this and what it entails. I was born premature and almost died, I had to have open heart surgery to keep me alive. Hemiplegia is a condition that affects half of your body and is caused by parts of the brain being damaged. The most obvious effects of my condition is my foot, I limp and throughout childhood had to wear a splint and specialised footwear. I want to raise awareness of my condition, growing up was hard and I always stood out. I could never wear the latest fashions like my sister i.e flimsy footwear such as flip flops were a big no no! However, I want to show people that a disability is not a hindrance and you can still look and feel good with it! I love fashion and love dressing up - I refuse to let my disability stop this! Another day another outfit! My sister picked out this skirt for me the other day and told me I had to buy it! It's from Topshop (surprise) and I love it! The material is stretchy and fits so nicely. I decide to pair it with a leather jacket and my trusty Docs.  Lauren x

EDINBURGH FRINGE FESTIVAL

It's that time of the year again, festivals are in full motion. One of my favourites (mainly because I've been performing in it for the past two years) is the Edinburgh Fringe. An explosive delight of arts from theatre to music to comedy. Edinburgh is a fantastic city and comes alive at this time of the year with an eclectic mix of acts.
